Lauren Mowery and Paul Caputo, acclaimed writers in the wine industry, visited Viña Don Melchor's facilities in Pirque to experience the luxury wine tourism offering and broaden their insights into Chilean wine.

Lauren Mowery, who currently writes for Wine Enthusiast and Forbes, along with Paul Caputo, an award-winning UK writer who contributes to Decanter, Forbes, The Buyer, and Vinorandum, visited the Don Melchor estate house for a luxurious experience, as well as to enhance their knowledge of our iconic Don Melchor and its world-class terroir.  

The visit started with the Don Melchor Winemaking Experience, where they sampled all seven Don Melchor parcels and appreciated the unique characteristics that each wine contributes to the final blend of Don Melchor. They then tasted the 35th vintage of Puente Alto’s icon Cabernet Sauvignon: Don Melchor 2021.  

During their tour of the Don Melchor vineyard, they were shown various agroecological practices, such as vegetative cover, biological corridors, and the latest innovation – the solar vineyard.
