Puente Alto's icon Cabernet Sauvignon, Don Melchor, participated in the event’s latest version, which was organized by specialized media, Wine Enthusiast, in collaboration with Wines of Chile.

On May 6, a new edition of the “Sip of the South” wine event was held in New York. The event aims to showcase and promote South American wine labels in the United States. Our icon, Don Melchor’s 2020 vintage, participated in this occasion.   

“Taking part in Sip of the South allowed us to present Don Melchor to restaurant owners and sommeliers in the city. Furthermore, we presented our 2020 Don Melchor vintage to clients and consumers, a vintage selected as Best of the Best by the luxury magazine Robb Report. The vintage displays refinement and elegance from the acclaimed Puente Alto appellation,” said Eduardo Hidalgo, Regional Manager of LBD Northeast USA. 

More than 300 industry participants attended the event, hosted by wine journalist Jessica Vargas – Wine Enthusiast’s South American wine taster – who led interesting seminars and tastings on South American wines for clients and consumers in New York’s market.
