Don Melchor 2020 among the best Chilean wines in Wine Spectator

The international magazine delivered an outstanding 95 points to the 2020 vintage of Don Melchor.

The 2020 Don Melchor received extraordinary recognition in the US magazine Wine Spectator, one of the most influential in the world, and the 95 points earned places it among Chile’s finest wines.

Aaron Romano—associate editor for Wine Spectator and its lead taster for Argentina and Chile—praised the vintage, saying “inviting aromas of chocolate-covered cherry, dried rose petal and petrichor set the stage for this well-structured red, which balances concentrated berry and mission fig flavors against vibrant acidity, lending a lush, mouthwatering quality to a finish that swirls with cassis, spices and fine tannins.”

This new distinction establishes Don Melchor as one of the world’s great Cabernet Sauvignons and the Puente Alto terroir as one of its most magnificent origins.
