more direct, full-bodied Don Melchor, filled with solid blackberries and wrapped by tight, fine-grained tannins,” Suckling wrote.

The blend in this new vintage is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot It spent 15 months in French oak barrels, 71% new and 29% second use.

According to Enrique Tirado, Viña Don Melchor’s technical director and CEO, “the timely harvest of the 2020 vintage enabled us to have wines of excellent quality, wines with very good concentration and ripeness while maintaining the freshness and vivacity in the different parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon.
