The prominent editor of the Japanese magazine Wands recently visited the historic Casona Don Melchor.

Yasuko Nagoshi, the highly respected editor-in-chief of one of the most prominent publications in the Japanese wine industry, recently visited Viña Don Melchor's facilities to gain a deeper understanding of the varied terroirs of Chile.

Yasuko Nagoshi, the celebrated wine journalist specializing in Japanese wines, conducted two in-depth tastings that expanded her knowledge of Chile’s exceptional production origins.

During the wine-tasting session, she confidently sampled three parcels from the Don Melchor vineyard, each with its unique blend and the 35th vintage of Puente Alto’s iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, Don Melchor 2021. This experience enabled her to understand better the exceptional qualities that make the Puente Alto Appellation of Origin a genuinely world-class wine.

Yasuko could transport herself to various terroirs across the country and sample the diverse range of products from Concha y Toro’s Luxury Brands portfolio. This experience was an excellent opportunity to compare the unique characteristics of each origin and discern how they ultimately manifest in the wine.

Discover the world of wine with Yasuko Nagoshi, a key figure in the Japanese wine industry for over 20 years. She has a wealth of knowledge to share as a respected writer and educator.
