Don Melchor’s E-commerce Positioned as a Strong Sales Channel

The e-commerce platform was launched in November and has been well-received by consumers of Chile’s first icon wine.

Consumers have shown a great reception for the new e-commerce site dedicated to Don Melchor, Chile’s first icon wine and a true leader among the great wines of the world.

In November, the brand launched this new e-commerce platform available directly through its website www.donmelchor.com, where consumers can purchase Don Melchor 2017 and 2018.

The 2017 vintage – which received 99 points from acclaimed critic James Suckling – is a blend of 2% Cabernet Franc and 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, taken from the hundred-year-old vineyard of Puente Alto, whose terroir offers exceptional conditions for producing the best Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. The wine is then aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 67% new and 33% second-use.

Meanwhile, the 2018 vintage, awarded a record-breaking 100 points by the same critic, is composed of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot, and was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 67% of which were new and 33% were second-use.
