The 2019 and 2020 vintages have received important recognition from the global specialized press this year, which has praised Don Melchor’s quality and consistency over time as well as the meticulous work of Viña Don Melchor winemaker and CEO, Enrique Tirado.

The most recent vintage of Don Melchor, the 2020, was distinguished with 97 points by the celebrated US critic James Suckling, 95 points from Joaquín Hidalgo for Vinous, 94 points from Wine Enthusiast, and 92 points for the English magazine Decanter.

This new blend is characterized by its aromatic complexity, red fruits and flowers, tremendous freshness, velvety texture, a long and persistent finish, and all of the elegance and potency that the Puente Alto terroir is known for.

The 2019 Don Melchor also continues to accumulate outstanding accolades, such as the 97 points awarded by British wine critic and Master of Wine Tim Atkin. Add to that the 96 points in Vinous, 94 points in Wine Spectator, 94 points in Wine Enthusiast, and 17.5+ (of 20) points from Jancis Robinson

All of these scores once again confirm Don Melchor as one of the best high-end Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.
