On April 21, Don Melchor held an event to launch its 2018 vintage with specialized press from the United States. It was a virtual tasting plus a decanting session led by Don Melchor's chief winemaker and general manager, Enrique Tirado, and sommelier Arvid Rosengren.

The launch featured 14 guests, including Katie Kelly Bell, an Atlanta-based wine and travel journalist; Susan Gordon, freelance journalist for magazines such as ForbesLife and Wine Advocate; Wanda Mann, founder and editor-in-chief of Wine With Wanda; and Brian Freedman, freelance journalist for outlets such as Food & Wine, Departures and Forbes.

At the event, attendees tasted Don Melchor’s 2018 vintage and learned about the entire production process of this iconic wine. In addition, Tirado explained a bit of this Cabernet Sauvignon’s history, what makes its terroir, located in the Maipo Valley’s Puente Alto vineyard, so special and posses particular conditions to produce this unique vintage.
