Don Melchor hosts first event on digital platform ClubHouse

On March 18, the Don Melchor brand held its first digital event in Brazil on the ClubHouse platform, an audio-only application that brings together different chat rooms where attendees can actively participate or be in a listen-only mode.

Conversations take place in real-time, and the great value of this new app is that it manages to create the same intimacy as a podcast or radio show.

For this event, Don Melchor technical director and chief winemaker Enrique Tirado hosted a conversation about wine with the brand’s ambassador Ricardo Natale, winemaker Carlos Cabral, journalist Ricardo Castilho, and businesswoman María Lucía Serapião.

The event kicked off by looking back at the Don Melchor brand’s history and how the wine was first made when the Concha y Toro family bought the land where the Tocornal vineyards now stand. Tirado also spoke of the parcellation of the land into different vineyards and of the joint work done with the Boissenot family and how that led them to carry out in-depth soil studies, which have been a key factor in the production of the Don Melchor wine.

Following the introduction, both Tirado and the guests spoke extensively about Don Melchor. They spoke of how it has contributed to the positioning of New World wines, especially Chilean wines, and how it has consolidated its position and undisputed leadership as an exceptional wine capable of expressing the magnificent terroir from the Puente Alto vineyard.
