On September 15, Enrique Tirado, Viña Don Melchor’s general manager, met with Ana María Barahona, director of specialized Chilean magazine, La CAV, to present and taste Don Melchor’s 2018 vintage. Enrique explained what makes Don Melchor’s 2018 vintage one of the wine’s most significant additions. Ana María Barahona praised the wine’s great structure and elegance, stating that this is one of Don Melchor’s best vintages. Both shared some aspects of the wine elaboration and parceling process. The latter resulted in the delimitation of 7 parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and small lots of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot.
Through a tasting via Zoom, both tasted Don Melchor’s 2017 vintage that celebrates the brand’s 30th anniversary.
