The new edition of “The Parcel” Series debuts exclusively in Chile, faithfully revealing the character of Cabernet Sauvignon from Parcel #05 of the Don Melchor vineyard, defined by the freshness and tension that distinguish its expression in the 2023 vintage.

Viña Don Melchor officially unveils DM/05 vintage 2023, the second edition of its “The Parcel” Series, a collection of limited-production wines created to reveal, with each vintage, the singular expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the seven parcels that make up the Don Melchor vineyard, located in the prestigious Puente Alto Appellation.

Following the launch of DM/01 vintage 2022, the first edition of the collection which highlighted the distinctive identity of Parcel #01, Viña Don Melchor now presents DM/05 vintage 2023, a wine made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Parcel #05, recognised for expressing Cabernet Sauvignon through remarkable freshness, tension and precision.

With nearly four decades of history crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, Viña Don Melchor introduced “The Parcel” Series in 2025, an innovative collection of limited-production wines designed to reveal the extraordinary diversity of its vineyard in Puente Alto. As a result of decades of research led by the Viña Don Melchor team, seven principal Cabernet Sauvignon parcels were identified, each studied and managed independently to understand and reveal the finest expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto.

The concept behind this collection is to select, in each vintage, the parcel that best interprets the conditions of the growing season and most clearly expresses its unique personality. In this way, every edition of “The Parcel” Series represents an unrepeatable interpretation of the Puente Alto terroir.

DM/05 vintage 2023 is made from grapes sourced from Parcel #05, planted in 1984 on the distinctive alluvial soils of Puente Alto. In the 2023 vintage, this section of the vineyard revealed with exceptional purity an expression of Cabernet Sauvignon defined by the freshness, tension and precision that shape its identity.

The launch of DM/05 vintage 2023 will initially take place in Chile, where it will be available exclusively at the Casa Don Melchor boutique store in Pirque, as well as through a selection of the country’s most prestigious restaurants and specialist wine retailers. In the coming months, this new edition of “The Parcel” Series will be introduced to key international markets for the brand.
