D.O Puente Alto Experience, great Master Class in Brazil

During his recent visit to Brazil, Viña Don Melchor winemaker and CEO Enrique Tirado led a Master Class focused on the unique character of the Puente Alto terroir, firmly established as the best place in Chile for the production of high-end wines.

The Rosewood São Paulo Hotel, designed by the legendary architect Jean Nouvel and the visionary creator Philippe Starck, who has established a new standard of elegance, refinement, and sophistication in the city, was the setting for the presentation attended by the most important customers and specialized press in Brazil.

Viña Concha y Toro’s highest executives, General Manager Eduardo Guilisasti and Vice President of Fine Wines and Corporate Image Isabel Guilisasti, were in attendance for the Master Class in which Enrique Tirado presented Don Melchor and Viña Concha y Toro Technical Director Marcelo Papa presented Marques de Casa Concha Heritage, two great wines from the Puente Alto denomination of origin.

Enrique used the vintages 2008, 2013 y 2019 of Don Melchor to discuss the personality and character of the Puente Alto terroir, determined by its rocky soils, the influence of the Andes Mountains, and the meticulously detailed work done in the vineyard to achieve a wine that takes its place evert year among the best Cabernet Sauvignons in the world .
