Enrique Tirado, CEO, and Technical Director of Don Melchor toured major cities in Brazil, leading Don Melchor's 2020 vintage launch.

Enrique Tirado visited São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, and Gramado as part of the Don Melchor 2020 launch tour, which included activities with trade members, distributors, specialized press, customers, and a select group of consumers.

Each event was paired with the highest level of gastronomy, and guests tasted, alongside our winemaker, the most recent vintage of Don Melchor in Brazil, one of the brand’s most important markets.

Don Melchor 2020 reflects the nobility of Puente Alto’s terroir through a wine of great intensity and aromatic complexity of red fruits accompanied by floral notes of violets and roses. It is a tasty wine with a soft entry and then shows tremendous freshness, along with the elegance and power characteristic of Puente Alto. It is a wine with a velvety texture, lush body, and a persistent, long finish.

The most prestigious international critics have recognized this vintage with high scores. To mention a few, James Suckling awarded it 97 points, placing it at number 19 in the 100 best wines of Chile, while the British Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, rated it with an outstanding 96 points. Similarly, Don Melchor 2020 achieved extraordinary recognition in the US magazine Wine Spectator, scoring 95 points and placing it once again among the best Chilean wines.
