Don Melchor celebrates the official launch of Its new global roadshow “Top of the World” in Brazil

3 de June, 2025
After being recognized as “Wine of the Year 2024” by the prestigious publication Wine Spectator, the iconic Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor kicked off its global tour with an inaugural event in São Paulo, celebrating this historic milestone for the brand and officially presenting its new 2022 vintage to the Brazilian market.

This exclusive and memorable event brought together over 70 guests, including clients, prominent specialized and lifestyle media, as well as well-known personalities from the digital environment. All were part of a top-level sensory and gastronomic experience designed to highlight the greatness of Don Melchor.

Under the name “Don Melchor – Top of the World,” this roadshow aims to celebrate the award-winning 2021 vintage — recognized by Wine Spectator as the best wine in the world — and to officially launch the new 2022 vintage of this great Cabernet Sauvignon.

The event was led by Enrique Tirado, CEO and Technical Director of Viña Don Melchor, alongside Isabel Guilisasti, Vice President of Fine Wines at Concha y Toro, who highlighted the significance of this international recognition that consolidates Don Melchor as one of the best Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.

“The choice of Brazil as the starting point for our global roadshow fills us with pride. It is one of our most important markets and represents a community passionate about wine and excellence. To share this historic milestone — being recognized as the number one wine in the world — with our main clients and wine lovers in Brazil is truly an unforgettable experience,” said Enrique Tirado.

Inspired by Don Melchor’s unique origin, the event offered a high-impact artistic and culinary proposal where art, gastronomy, and wine merged to create an unprecedented multisensory experience. All in tribute to the majestic Andes Mountains, the birthplace of the vineyard that gives rise to this world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.

Since its second vintage, Don Melchor has been consistently included in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the Year ranking, accumulating a total of 10 appearances. This positions it as the wine with the most entries on this prestigious global list, a leadership it only shares with a renowned French wine. In 2024, its historic 2021 vintage reached first place in the ranking, a milestone that places Don Melchor — and Chile — at the top of the global wine scene.

This event in São Paulo marks the beginning of Top of the World, the global roadshow that will tour Don Melchor’s main international markets throughout 2025, celebrating its legacy, achievements, and the excellence of its new 2022 vintage.
