Don Melchor 2021 shines with 97 points in Adega magazine

3 de October, 2024
Our iconic Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto has achieved an extraordinary score of 97 points in the influential Brazilian magazine, Adega.

Don Melchor 2021, which today celebrates the anniversary of its 35th vintage, received 97 points in the influential Brazilian publication, Adega.

Christian Burgos, a specialized journalist from the magazine, described the 2021 vintage of Don Melchor as: “Balance and strength. A wine that stands out for its fresh and deep fruit, as well as its minerality. Plum and raspberry go hand in hand with graphite and cold ashes. Provocative and reactive tannins with a lovely acidity. A time machine. Light menthol, herbs, black pepper, along with boldo. A wine full of energy that gives you goosebumps.”

It is noteworthy that this is the second time Don Melchor has received 97 points from Adega—the highest score awarded to our wine in this specialized magazine.

With this great achievement, Don Melchor reaffirms its excellence and enological consistency throughout its 35 vintages (1987-2021), establishing itself as one of the most awarded Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.
