Blended with small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from the same site”.

“Under the skilled hand of winemaker Enrique Tirado, the result is a deep-violet-red-colored wine with a bouquet of raspberry, black cherry, and Turkish delight. The hot temperatures of the growing season, plus judicious use of oak, show through in flavors of blackberry, Mission fig, licorice, dark chocolate, and rose petal wrapped in polished tannins, while cool nights contributed to striking acidity and an elegant finish”, the publication highlights.

Regarding this extraordinary achievement, Enrique Tirado, CEO and Technical Director of Viña Don Melchor comments, “We are honored that Don Melchor 2020, a vintage currently sold on the market, has been recognized as ‘Best of the Best’ among the 17 categories selected and as the only Chilean wine on the list.
