BEST WINE OF THE YEAR

“Chile’s exceptional harvest in 2018 is confirmed in this red blend composed of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5%, Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 72% of which are new and 28% second use. It presents black current and blueberry accompanied by floral, herbal and spiced notes, as well as earthy tones. Benefiting from a cooler year in comparison to the hot temperatures of 2017, it has a refreshing acidity and extremely fine tannins, which provide substance to the blend and balance out the customarily ripe profile found in this classic fruit from Puente Alto. It has a long-lasting, vertical and dense finish, with a touch of licorice and graphite. The more precise and refined version of this wine is among the best, if not the best vintage tasted up to now.”
