This vintage adds another great recognition by receiving 96 points in Joaquín Hidalgo's report.

Recognition continues to grow for Don Melchor 2018. Now Vinous, a media specialized in the world of wine, celebrated it in its report with 96 points, being one of the best-evaluated labels.

“The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor is a combination of a proven style – the blend also includes 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot – and an exquisite vintage in the Puente Alto region in Maipo,” wrote the journalist author of the ranking, Joaquín Hidalgo.

He also added a tasting note detailing the aromas and textures of this outstanding vintage. “Made by Enrique Tirado and aged for 15 months in French barrels, it is garnet red in the glass, with a complex expression that unfolds in layers, starting with notes of black currant and sour cherry, followed by mint, cedar and pepper, and a faint whiff of red bell pepper. Juicy on the palate, with fine-grained tannins and a concentration that centers the wine, channeling and lengthening the fruity background, this is an unusually harmonious and delicious Bordeaux blend.”
