During his recent visit to Singapore, Enrique Tirado, Don Melchor’s technical director and CEO, headed a series of four presentations focused on the unique characteristics of Puente Alto as a terroir and the origin of Don Melchor.

The facilities of the Maison 21G luxury brand of perfumes in Duxton Hill—one of Singapore’s most prestigious and attractive neighborhoods—was the setting for a gathering of Don Melchor’s most important customers, sales force, and opinion leaders for the D.O. Puente Alto Experience Master Class accompanied by a tasting of select vintages of Don Melchor (2013, 2018, and 2020), selected by Enrique Tirado to show Don Melchor’s unique character as a reflection of the Puente Alto terroir.

“The beauty of composition” was another of the important activities Enrique conducted during his time in Singapore. Aromas created by the famous fragrance house Maison 21G inspired by each of the parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon were used in an exclusive “aroma tasting” of perfumes focused on understanding Don Melchor’s enological philosophy through the senses in a simple and experiential way to discover the aroma of Don Melchor.
