Viña Don Melchor participated in the latest edition of the Asian event organized by renowned U.S. wine critic, James Suckling, in Seoul and Hong Kong.

Viña Don Melchor recently participated in the Great Wines of the World Asia 2023 event held in the cities of Seoul and Hong Kong, showcasing this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon as one of the great representatives of the Puente Alto Designation of Origin. In the capital of South Korea, the event took place at the Shilla Seoul Hotel, where Don Melchor 2020 was unveiled; meanwhile, in Hong Kong, the event occurred at the Four Seasons Hotel, where the winery presented Don Melchor in its 2020 and 2021 vintages.

This global wine showcase was attended by journalists, high-level consumers, wine enthusiasts, and industry buyers. They had the opportunity to taste only those wines previously selected by James Suckling and his team of editors, and scored at 92 points or more. This year, the event brought together a total of 120 wineries from around the world and showcased over 200 wines representing the main wine-producing regions globally.

“This was a great opportunity to present the concept behind Puente Alto. Through Don Melchor, we were able to showcase the virtues, subtleties, and undisputed quality of the origin of this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto to key industry figures and wine enthusiasts, among others.
