Chile’s iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, Don Melchor, was showcased at the prestigious Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, one of the most influential culinary and wine events in the United States, as part of the seminar “Ain’t No Vineyard High Enough: Majestic Mountain Wines,” led by renowned wine journalist Wanda Mann.

On this occasion, Don Melchor was showcased with its 2022 vintage during the three-day Food & Wine Classic event held in Aspen, Colorado (United States), which gathers leading international chefs, sommeliers, industry experts, specialized media, and wine enthusiasts around world-class gastronomic and wine experiences.

Within this context, Don Melchor 2022 was the only Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon included in the seminar “Ain’t No Vineyard High Enough: Majestic Mountain Wines” led by Wanda Mann—East Coast Editor of The SOMM Journal and The Tasting Panel— highlighting its origin in the prestigious Puente Alto Appellation, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains.

Focused on exploring the influence of altitude on the character and expression of wines, the tasting featured a curated selection of eight outstanding labels from diverse international origins, positioning Don Melchor alongside leading global benchmarks in front of a highly influential audience.

Don Melchor’s presence at this prominent event reinforces its position among the leading expressions of Chilean wine worldwide, standing out on one of the most influential gastronomic and wine stages in the United States—a strategic market for both the brand and the global projection of Chilean wines.
