Wine Spectator highlights Don Melchor 2018 with 95 points

U.S. wine magazine Wine Spectator gave Melchor's 2018 vintage special recognition in its report on Chilean wines called "Playbook for Progress" and gave an outstanding 95 points to this Cabernet Sauvignon and was considered the best wine on the list.

With this score, Don Melchor continues to consolidate its undisputed leadership and positioning of an exceptional wine, capable of expressing the magnificent terroir of the Puente Alto vineyard and placing Chilean wines at the top of the industry worldwide. Don Melchor also continues with a historical consistency of scores in Wine Spectator and nine vintages in the Top 100 Best Wines of the World.

Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator’s critic for Chile, emphasized that this is a “powerful, well-structured wine, with vibrant acidity supporting a lively mix of dark, fresh fruit and crushed spice flavors. Savory and cedary notes on the mid-palate, with a long finish full of underbrush accents. Drink now through 2027.”
