The iconic Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto, Don Melchor, took part in a new edition of the wine event organized by the specialized media publication Wine Enthusiast.

On June 9th a new edition of Sip of the South was held in New York, aimed at promoting wines from South America in the U.S. market. On this occasion, our iconic Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon was presented with its award-winning 2021 vintage and the newly released 2022 vintage. 

“Being part of this edition of the event was a great opportunity to showcase Don Melchor’s excellence. The 2021 vintage, awarded with 96 points and selected as a ‘Cellar Selection’ by Jessica Vargas of Wine Enthusiast, and the 2022 vintage, recently rated with 95 points by the same publication, were both received with strong interest and enthusiasm from attendees—further reinforcing the international prestige of our icon,” said  Marcio Ramírez, winemaker at Concha y Toro. 

The event brought together more than 50 wineries from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, and was an excellent opportunity to increase the visibility of South American wines among U.S. consumers and key trade members.
