At an exclusive event held at Casa Don Melchor, and attended by a select group of leading distributors from Brazil, Viña Don Melchor officially unveiled the 2023 vintage of its iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, Don Melchor, along with the first wine from its new limited-edition collection “The Parcel” series : DM/01 vintage 2022.

In mid-May, Viña Don Melchor welcomed a significant number of its Brazilian distributors to Casa Don Melchor to celebrate the official launch of the 2023 vintage of its renowned Puente Alto Cabernet Sauvignon, Don Melchor, together with the inaugural wine from the limited-edition collection “The Parcel” series: DM/01 vintage 2022.

The event was attended by Eduardo Guilisasti, CEO of Viña Concha y Toro; Isabel Guilisasti, Vice President of Fine Wines and Corporate Image; Enrique Tirado, CEO and Technical Director of Viña Don Melchor; Niclas Blomstron, Commercial Manager for LATAM Offices; and Pietro Capuzzi, Country Manager Brazil, who joined this celebration at the very place where the Don Melchor story began.

The event brought together 21 distributors from Brazil—one of the most important markets for both Chilean wine industry and Viña Don Melchor—reinforcing the country’s strategic role for the brand and strengthening its positioning as a global benchmark of excellence and prestige for Chilean wine.

The tasting was led by Enrique Tirado, who presented the outstanding characteristics of these two new vintages, noting: “Welcoming Viña Don Melchor’s distributors and presenting our new vintages at Casa Don Melchor is a key moment to strengthen commercial relationships, while also sharing, from our origin, the fundamental pillars that position Don Melchor as a world-class wine.”

During the event, guests enjoyed a fine dining experience at Casa Don Melchor, featuring a pairing menu specially designed to highlight the qualities of Don Melchor 2023 and DM/01 vintage 2022.

The 2023 vintage, the 37th in Don Melchor’s history, is composed of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Merlot. It stands out for its intense aromatic expression, depth, and finesse, faithfully reflecting its exceptional origin in Puente Alto. Meanwhile, DM/01 vintage 2022, released in 2025, marks the debut of the “The Parcel” series, expressing with precision the energy, finesse, and character of Parcel #01 of the Don Melchor vineyard.

This launch in Chile for the Brazilian market further strengthens Viña Don Melchor’s legacy of excellence, consolidating its position as a global benchmark and reaffirming the international projection of Chilean wine in one of its most strategic markets.
