Join Viña Don Melchor at THE OLD VINE CONFERENCE 2024

4 de October, 2024
We invite you to be part of the 6th edition of The Old Vine Conference, an online event that brings together winemakers, academics and personalities from around the world to share valuable information on the role of old vines in the industry's adaptation to climate change and sustainability.

On Friday 18 October, at 09:00 hrs (Chile) and 13:00 hrs (UK), the winemaker Isabel Mitarakis, specialised in premium wines, will be presenting at this online conference to present the innovative ‘sundial vineyard’ project and the agroecological practices that Viña Don Melchor has been developing in its vineyard for several years.

Earlier this year, as a further step in its commitment to Excellence and Sustainability, Viña Don Melchor became a member of The Old Vine Conference, an international non-profit organisation based in England, with the aim of raising visibility and awareness of the importance of protecting old vines, their rich genetic diversity and their inestimable ecological and cultural value.

The global event The Old Vine Conference 2024 will consist of two days of talks: the first one is on Thursday 17 October -focusing on the role of old vines for a sustainable future of the wine industry-, and the second one is on Friday 18 October, when Viña Don Melchor will be presenting and will focus on the role of these vines in the adaptation of the industry in the face of climate change.
