Presented as “Don Melchor – Top of the World”, this international roadshow aims to pay tribute to the 2021 vintage—recognized as the best wine in the world by Wine Spectator—and to officially present the new 2022 vintage of its iconic Cabernet Sauvignon.
During its Latin American phase, the tour included four key destinations: Peru, Colombia, Panama, and Guatemala. In each location, Viña Don Melchor’s CEO and Technical Director, Enrique Tirado, together with the commercial team, led a packed agenda of activities including special events, meetings with strategic clients and key opinion leaders (KOLs), as well as interviews with top specialized, financial, and lifestyle media outlets.
“Celebrating this milestone in our key Latin American markets is very meaningful for Don Melchor, as this region has played a fundamental role in consolidating its history and leadership. Its strong presence, the exclusivity of its origin, and international recognition have all reinforced its relevance throughout the region, winning over clients and consumers. It’s a bond that undoubtedly drives our current success and well-earned prestige,” said Enrique Tirado.
Since its second vintage, Don Melchor has been consistently included in Wine Spectator’s prestigious Top 100 Wines of the Year ranking, with a total of 10 appearances. This distinction positions it as the wine with the highest number of inclusions on this list worldwide—a feat shared only with a renowned French wine. In 2024, its 2021 vintage reached the #1 spot, cementing Don Melchor—and Chile—as indisputable leaders in the global wine scene.
The Don Melchor: Top of the World roadshow will soon continue its journey through Europe and Asia, bringing the legacy, achievements, and excellence of its 2022 vintage to other strategic markets around the world.
