Don Melchor at Nantucket Wine & Food Festival

Winemaker Tomás Vial presented the 2014 and 2019 vintages of Don Melchor in a seminar organized by Wines of Chile, which took place on May 20 during the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival, a world-class celebration that has been bringing the most distinguished winemakers and chefs together for more than 20 years.

Tomás demonstrated the potential of the Puente Alto terroir for the production of superlative Cabernet Sauvignon through the 2014 and 2019 vintages of Don Melchor, thereby ratifying its position as an authentic expression of this magnificent terroir in the select group of the world’s great wines and showing Chile’s tremendous potential for the production of high-end wines.

Through an in-depth look at the culture and history of Chile’s icon wines guided by veteran wine writer Michael Schachner of Wine Enthusiast along with Tomás and four Chilean winemakers, the seminar became an opportunity to inspire wine lovers to learn more about Chile’s icon wines.

Don Melchor’s participation in this important seminar show the unparalleled quality and prestige of this Cabernet Sauvignon from the Puente Alto terroir as well as its important role as one of Chile’s great ambassadors to the world.
