Don Melchor and its consistent scores obtained in 2021

The 2018 and 2019 vintages received several awards from the global specialized press, highlighting their quality and the work of winemaker and technical director Enrique Tirado.

Acclaim continued to grow for Don Melchor during 2021, as its 2018 and 2019 harvests obtained outstanding scores from various global specialized press outlets. The latter shows, once again, the quality and consistency of this world-renowned icon wine and the work of winemaker and technical director Enrique Tirado.

As for the recently released 2019 vintage, it received 98 pts by James Suckling, 96 pts by Descorchados 2022, and 93 pts by Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate.

This new blend is highly refined, with tremendous aromatic complexity and fruit expression, ultra-fine tannins, full-body, and structure.

Meanwhile, the 2018 vintage continued to receive notable recognitions, such as the 98 pts from Decanter. In addition, it was one of the best-evaluated wines by Vinous, in Joaquín Hidalgo’s report, achieving 96 pts, the same score as that awarded by Wine & Spirits in the Year’s Top 100 Wines. Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator awarded it 95 pts.

All these distinctions only continue to bolster Don Melchor’s position as one of the world’s great premium Cabernet Sauvignons.
