The first day’s activities were focused on London’s most important shop, the widely celebrated Harrod’s, with training sessions for the sales staff as well as a tasting for its key customers at the 67 Pall Mall Club. During the presentation of the 2020 Don Melchor, the participants also tasted the 2013 and 2019 vintages.
On the second day, the team met with the editor-in-chief of The Drinks Business and renowned British Master of Wine, Patrick Schmitt. The meeting, whose primary objective was to present the 2020 Don Melchor, took place in the luxurious London bistro Maison François and included the participation of Viña Don Melchor technical director Enrique Tirado; Concha y Toro corporate communications director, Ben Smith; and Viña Don Melchor marketing director Carla Errázuriz. The presentation included a tasting of the 2009, 2013, and 2019 vintages as well as the 2020.
The tour continued with two days in Manchester, where Enrique led a winemaker’s dinner with key clients of Manchester United along with Quinton Fortune, one of the legends of team.
Enrique Tirado’s UK tour was yet another of this year’s activities to present the 2020 Don Melchor.
