In a unique event in the history of the brand, Enrique Tirado held an exclusive wine tasting with the 31 vintages of Don Melchor for two of the most important critics in the wine industry.
Winemaker Enrique Tirado traveled to the United States for a private wine tasting with Kim Marcus, wine critic for the prestigious U.S. Magazine Wine Spectator.
The event, held in one of the conference rooms of the exclusive Hotel Archer in Napa Valley, California, Kim Marcus had the opportunity to taste the 31 vintages of Don Melchor, within the framework of the wine's 30th anniversary, highlighting the exception evolution, track record and great character of one of the most emblematic Cabernet Sauvignons of the Andes.
Enrique then met with Jancis Robinson, the most acclaimed British wine critic in the world, who also had the chance to try the 31 vintages of Don Melchor in an exclusive wine tasting that highlighted the brand’s incredible consistency, track record and the hard work done by winemaker Enrique Tirado to obtain the authentic expression of the Puente Alto vineyard.
The critic also assigned a score of over 16 points to all of the vintages, and an extraordinary 18 points to the 2017 vintage, making Don Melchor the Chilean wine to receive the most top scores on JancisRobinson.com.
