Happy Anniversary Don Melchor

Great friends and followers of the brand celebrated Don Melchor’s 30th Anniversary with the 2017 Vintage.

The 30th Anniversary of Don Melchor is one of the brand’s greatest milestones. To celebrate, Don Melchor organized important activities in some of the brand's most relevant markets, including Panama (as the venue for all Central American and Caribbean markets), the United States, Asia and Brazil. In these events, Enrique Tirado held exclusive wine tastings to introduce the 2017 vintage of this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon.

The year 2017 had a great harvest, resulting in wines marked by extraordinary elegance and balance. This vintage is composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc. The wine was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 67% of which were new and 33% were second-use.

Don Melchor 2017 is a wine with a remarkable presence of red fruits, a clear expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto, fine and delicate tannins that afford it great density and a long-lasting finish.

In this way, Don Melchor, the first icon wine in the Chilean industry and a true leader among international high-end wines, celebrated its 30th anniversary accompanied by great friends and loyal fans from around the world. A recognition for this great wine's history and legacy.
