The first wine from Viña Don Melchor’s new limited-edition collection — “The Parcel” Series— was recognised as a benchmark in innovation in the 2026 edition of this renowned publication.

In April, British Master of Wine Alistair Cooper, together with the Catad’Or team —Sofía Le Foulon and Pablo Ugarte— visited Casa Don Melchor to taste the latest vintages and portfolio developments alongside Enrique Tirado, CEO and Technical Director of Viña Don Melchor.

The guide recently released the results of its 2026 edition, where DM/01 vintage 2022, the first wine from the new “The Parcel” Series, was awarded 96 points and distinguished with the “Innovation Wine” trophy.

This important recognition highlights Viña Don Melchor’s innovative character, expressed through a proposal that explores in depth the origin and particularities of specific vineyard parcels, offering a unique and precise interpretation of Puente Alto’s terroir.

With more than 31 years of history, Catad’Or is one of Latin America’s most relevant wine and spirits evaluation platforms. Through initiatives such as the Catad’Or World Wine & Spirits Awards and the Alistair Cooper MW Guide, it promotes quality, knowledge, and the international projection of Chilean wine.
