With its iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, Viña Don Melchor took part in a new edition of the renowned Descorchados Fair in New York, organized and led by the prestigious Chilean wine journalist and critic Patricio Tapia.

On May 11—following the success of the fair’s first edition in 2025—a new Descorchados 2026 event was held in New York City, United States. The activity gathered 350 industry professionals, including importers, media, and sommeliers, who had the opportunity to taste outstanding wines from 17 renowned South American terroirs.

On this occasion, Viña Don Melchor showcased the 2022 vintage of its iconic Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto, Don Melchor, which was awarded 97 points in the 2025 Descorchados Guide, highlighting the exceptional quality of its terroir in the esteemed Puente Alto Appellation in the Maipo Valley.
