Don Melchor celebrates “Top of the World” Roadshow in Asia

21 de October, 2025
As part of its global tour to commemorate the historic recognition as “Wine of the Year 2024” by Wine Spectator, and to officially launch its 2022 vintage, Enrique Tirado, CEO and Technical Director of Viña Don Melchor, visited key Asian markets, celebrating this milestone with clients, key accounts, and specialized media.

Enrique Tirado led a packed agenda throughout Asia during the international tour “Don Melchor – Top of the World.” This initiative aims to pay tribute to the 2021 vintage — named N°1 wine in the world by Wine Spectator — and to present the new 2022 vintage of the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon.

The roadshow was held in three strategic markets of the region: China, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. At each stop, exclusive events were held, carefully curated with immersive experiences, meetings with key clients and opinion leaders (KOLs) such as Master Sommelier Yang LU MS, and prominent interviews with leading media, including China Daily and other specialized wine publications.

The tour featured food and wine pairing events, showcasing high-end local gastronomy crafted by renowned chefs to highlight the unique qualities of the acclaimed Don Melchor 2021 and the 2022 vintage — combinations that were widely praised by attendees.

“The ‘Top of the World’ tour wasn’t just a celebration—it was a statement. We successfully delivered a consistent, high-luxury experience that reinforced Don Melchor’s global leadership in fine wine. The Asia Roadshow was a powerful reaffirmation that Don Melchor is number one in the world. Through the “Top of the World” tour, we engaged deeply with top-tier KOLs, media, and clients across the UAE, South Korea, and China,” said Nani Mulet, Asia Marketing Director for Viña Concha y Toro.

Since its second vintage, Don Melchor has consistently appeared in Wine Spectator’s prestigious Top 100 Wines of the Year ranking, with a total of 10 inclusions — the highest number for any wine worldwide, a distinction shared by only two other labels. In 2024, the 2021 vintage reached the top of the list, solidifying Don Melchor — and Chile — as undisputed benchmarks on the global wine scene.

The “Don Melchor: Top of the World” roadshow will soon continue through Europe and Chile, carrying the legacy, achievements, and excellence of its 2022 vintage to other key markets around the world.
